Say hello to our holiday release- Steamin’ Eagle!

This California common was inspired by an old Bay Area classic (see what I did there?), but made with 100% Maryland ingredients.

Maryland-grown and malted Munich, pale and melanoidin malts are perfectly complemented by a copious amount of Maryland Brewer’s Gold, Chinook and Monocacy hops.  Our house lager yeast was allowed to ferment warm, creating a hybrid beer that is distinctly American in origin.

This is beautiful and rich amber lager with a nice tan head. Aromas of toasted malt, with fruity and floral notes and a hint of spice give way to flavors of caramel and toffee, with the bright hoppiness bringing in a herbal spice that really ties the whole thing together nicely.

From one “Bay Area” to another- cheers!
