May’s been fun, guys. June’s gonna be a blast.

Our Stillpoint Kölsch is back and better than ever as Catoctin Heritage Kölsch. For the first time, we used our new favorite hop, ‘Monocacy’, and the noble characteristics really shine in such a simple and delicious beer.  Crisp, delicious and refreshing.

Our Oktoberfest Märzen is conditioning now after getting the same ‘Monocacy’ treatment, and Ray and Harry think it’s the best Märzen we’ve ever brewed here at Milkhouse.  As is the tradition, we aim to release a small portion early just because we like Märzen. The rest will cellar until mid-September like a good Oktoberfest should.

And you know what?  One good Monocacy beer deserves another! And another!  We’re preparing to say goodbye to Catoctin Heritage Cream Ale, but have a new one coming in collaboration with Hopkins Farm Brewery!  This cream ale will feature not only the beloved ‘Monocacy’ hop, but >30% malted Bloody Butcher heirloom corn from our friends at Murphy & Rude malthouse.  We are very excited about this one.

What else… oh yeah!  We got a little crafty with our seasonal sour offering this year.  We had our malts and hops and yeast all picked out, and it all smelled so good. But Harry thought it would smell even better with some coriander and salt, so Milkhouse now has its first Gose in the tank bubbling away!  This should be a quaffable tart and refreshing ale with just the right hint of both the salt and the coriander.

And if tart just isn’t sour enough for you, Harry is busy sorting out which of our vintage wild sours will go on after The Garden is gone, and it will likely be a strong return to acidity.  However, there should be plenty of that delectable funky fruity gold (The Garden) to get y’all through June. But brace yourselves and get ready to really pucker again.

Until next month, folks. Enjoy the beer!
