Summer… It’s here.
It’s hot. It’s muggy.
What I’m trying to say here, folks, is that it is peak Kölsch season! Our Stillpoint Kölsch is on tap and crisp and delicious.
And speaking of crisp and clean beers, our Local Lager will return this month with its traditional Chinook and Cascade hop profile. We’ll have to wait until hop harvest to brew another batch of the Catoctin Heritage variant.
And since we are on the topic of lagers, this seems a fine time to mention that our Märzen is conditioning in the cold, slowly getting ready for Oktoberfest! However, I find a tasty Märzen to be hard to resist so expect some kegs of this to premiere early!
And finally, I have some sad news for fans of Maryland All-Stars IPA. The current batch will be the last, until we can secure more Maryland-grown Southern Cross. This hop is vital to achieve the tropical notes when using only Maryland ingredients. Sadly, there is no substitute, there is no compromise, and so we must say goodbye for now. Harry and Ray are planning a wonderful new replacement, so fear not!
The sour program will continue to roll out gold, as will the cask program. We’ll keep the libations flowing, friends!
